I finished this all black skirt for my daughter. I absolutely love it. I like the solid black- it goes with just about anything. We had her in light pink pants and top the other day at Target. We got so many stares and "Ooohh's" and "Aaaahhh's"! Several of the ladies shopping stopped to talk about how cute she was. I just love these skirts!Hi! I am a stay at home mom of two and fan of pettiskirts for my daughter. I knew that I could never (would never) buy her one for $100 or more! So I started making them myself. I have learned a lot (and still am) but what I really love is how creative I can be. Apparently other people think so as well because I have started selling them. Info and prices are listed to the right. Also, please feel free to contact me for any information. Thank you, Carla. minncj@gmail.com

Happy New Year!
Here it is a new year already. I think I was ready for a new year, too much drama in 2008. New Years eve. Did I go out? Nah. Joe is working so the kids and I watched Shrek on tv. It always seems that I make popcorn to have with movies ONLY on the days that I have already vacuumed. Not a big deal, just funny.

So busy, but so worth it!

Right now I am finishing 2 skirts for one cousin. The colors are pink with red ruffles and orchid with pink ruffles. They are so cute! I think I like the pink with red one better. I still have to put the ribbon and elastic in so they look kind of funny.
I should be able to finish up tonight. I am almost done with my other cousins skirt. I like it! Black with light blue ruffles. It is cute! As soon as I get the ruffles finished I will post the pic.

Lookout, virgin blogger.....

Little sister, "E", is also fun. She is also busy. Although she is much younger, she is getting better about putting "A" in his place. He hits her, she hits him back. So we tell him "See, you are teaching her to hit." He thinks about it, then smacks her again later. And the cycle continues. I have taken up sewing. It is something that I can do at night when the kids are in bed and it keeps me out of trouble. ;) I have been making clothes for "E". I started with pants and a simple skirt, then I saw Kaiya Eve on Martha Stewart showing everyone how to make her pettiskirts. So I tried it and am loving it! I started out using tulle, then I switched to nylon chiffon. I am almost done with her 3rd skirt. They are precious!!! She wore her lavender one to Target the other day and (as always) got so many compliments and "oohs and ahhs". I have to finish this one tonight, it is black and white. I will put a picture on when I am finished.
Off to do dishes. I have to get something done while they are gone. :)
