So busy, but so worth it!

I cannot believe how busy I have been making pettiskirts!

I finished the 3 for my sister in law. They are pink with rainbow trim (purple, yellow and light blue). The skirts are now living in Atlanta being thoroughly enjoyed by 3 little girls.

Then I made a light pink one (extra full!!) for my friends cousins daughter. Now that one was hard to let go! It was so beautiful.

Right now I am finishing 2 skirts for one cousin. The colors are pink with red ruffles and orchid with pink ruffles. They are so cute! I think I like the pink with red one better. I still have to put the ribbon and elastic in so they look kind of funny.

I should be able to finish up tonight. I am almost done with my other cousins skirt. I like it! Black with light blue ruffles. It is cute! As soon as I get the ruffles finished I will post the pic.

I finished it!

Yeah me! I stayed up late the past couple of nights and finished her skirt. It is too cute!! Now I really have to start on my "order" for 3 skirts. I have the material and it will be fun. Tonight I shall begin. They will be very cute: pink with the bottom orchid, light blue and yellow. Too cute!
We are off to grandmas. She made a paint shirt for "A" for school (which starts tomorrow- WHOO HOO!!!!!). What will I do with my time? Ha ha. Anything I want! Okay, off to the shower.

Lookout, virgin blogger.....

Wow, my first blog entry. Should be interesting. (I am using letters for the kids names to protect the innocent.)

Jo-Jo took the kids to the park so I am home by myself. It is so quiet without the kids running around or fighting. "A" is very protective of his little sister, but only because he feels he is the only one that can beat on her. He's a good kid- just busy. He is alot of fun. My mother said (I will change the wording a little bit to be more PC), "At least you don't have a little "quiet one" just sitting in the corner." Thanks mom. She is right, that would drive me crazy. (See, he is fun!)

Little sister, "E", is also fun. She is also busy. Although she is much younger, she is getting better about putting "A" in his place. He hits her, she hits him back. So we tell him "See, you are teaching her to hit." He thinks about it, then smacks her again later. And the cycle continues. I have taken up sewing. It is something that I can do at night when the kids are in bed and it keeps me out of trouble. ;) I have been making clothes for "E". I started with pants and a simple skirt, then I saw Kaiya Eve on Martha Stewart showing everyone how to make her pettiskirts. So I tried it and am loving it! I started out using tulle, then I switched to nylon chiffon. I am almost done with her 3rd skirt. They are precious!!! She wore her lavender one to Target the other day and (as always) got so many compliments and "oohs and ahhs". I have to finish this one tonight, it is black and white. I will put a picture on when I am finished.

Off to do dishes. I have to get something done while they are gone. :)
